Project Spotlight: Finished Basement

At the end of 2022 we put the finishing touches on this basement project on the far east side of Madison. It started with just a concrete floor, load bearing columns and some rough plumbing. It finished with a living room, wet bar, fitness and play area, bedroom and bathroom. The design was created in collaboration with the owners and these photos are shared with their permission. The owners also worked with an interior designer to put the finishing touches on this space. We were happy to hear that they have already enjoyed the space while hosting several gatherings and house guests.

The Living Room

The living room is warm and inviting with a sectional couch and ample storage for games and records.

The Wet Bar

This wet bar and game table turned out great for hosting parties.

The Play Area

This space serves as a play area and fitness space. The design allows the ping pong table to be stored away (through the doors on the left) and the home gym can take center stage. Everything from the lighting to the half-walls play into this design to segment the large space, creating different functional zones.

The Bathroom

The bathroom has a vanity, toilet and shower (not pictured). This space is an oasis for guests to unwind or have a relaxing start to their day.

The Bedroom

The house already had an egress window, ready for a bedroom to be built. The finishing touches in this guest bedroom make it cozy and inviting for friends and family.
